I loved Evelyn she was intelligent, beautiful but couldn’t leave her humiliation & had to make the four ladies suffer until she realized that she’d taken things too far & was losing those she loved. I also loved Percy, who suddenly saw the lovely woman Evelyn had become but his attempts to court her didn’t go as planned then she acted in such a way that made him do a lot of soul searching. “This is more than just a simple romance. This is the story of a woman wronged who seeks vengeance, only to discover that it not only kept the wounds fresh, but it also made her blind to what she already had. It almost seems too late when she attempts to make amends, but we do get our HEA. And if that weren’t enough, Evelyn is a completely new and better person by the end.

Although just under 70,000 words, the story never feels rushed or incomplete. All of the loose ends are tied up, and there’s even a fun scene at the end when Evelyn’s “victims” confront her and ask if she thinks an apology is in order. She agrees and says she’s been waiting for one for a year. I really enjoyed the story.”
