Sometimes we have water and electric hookup. Sometimes we have one or the other, or neither! Sometimes we have Internet or cell phone, but when you have neither, you truly feel disconnected. I like to be able to call my mother nightly. It makes us both happy. As for Internet, we need it for navigation, looking up campgrounds, getting something on the Roku, and most importantly doing research while writing my next book.
So today, instead of writing a long post and putting up gorgeous photos, I am seated at a picnic table that may have spiders under it, at a closed cafe across the street from our state park campground in Utah. There is free Wifi here. We haven’t had it in about four days so I am checking emails, calling my website server because my site was down (take my eyes off the ball for one second!), and writing this post while Philip looks for our next campground and where we may be in December. I cannot do research. It is too hurried, so that will have to wait.
And even though I don’t have cell service, I can use the Internet to call my mom. Doing that … now!
